It's On Now

Today we journey out for our first whitetail hunt of the season. Kentucky opens crazy early on their bow season. I'm running the camera for our Kentucky Field Rep, Jason Brooks.

He's been seeing a hefty bluegrass 10 pointer, so we'll see if we can't stick him a Carbon Express/Muzzy combination and bring down some pain!

Be sure to blog in with us and tell us what you are seeing in your neck of the woods. It can be really helpful for good info on what the deer are doing.

Only 11 days until we leave to chase big New Mexico bulls.

Jason,
I was hoping to see some pictures posted of that "hefty Kentucky 10 pointer". Any luck?

The family and I had a great weekend in Western NC fly-fishing. Saw several black bears. Went to Cataloochee Valley on Monday and spent the day sneaking around looking for elk. We ended seeing five(5) bulls and 14 cows. The bulls have already gathered their harems, and are bugling big time. It made me a little envious of your New Mexico trip.

Bow season down here(Georgia) opens this Saturday. I'll be videoing my daughter for the first few weeks. She's determined to take a buck with her bow this fall. We've got a couple of 140 class whitetails on the property, so with a lot of patience, and a whole lot of luck, she'll get an opportunity to draw back on one.

Looking forward to meeting you later this week.
